Thomas Sherman, PT, DPT, ATC

Thomas Sherman is Tampa Bay’s leading physical therapist who helps golfers get back to playing their best rounds of golf without painkillers, injections, or multiple trips to the doctor’s office.

His interest in physical therapy developed as he worked in the realm of sports medicine as an athletic trainer in both the collegiate and high school settings with athletes in nearly every sport – football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, volleyball, track, lacrosse, wrestling, cheerleading and weightlifting. After helping countless athletes throughout their in-season and off-season training, Thomas knows exactly what it takes to perform at a high level and remain healthy.

After becoming a PT, Thomas worked in local physical therapy clinics where he was required to see multiple patients at the same time and only allowed 15 minutes with each patient before sending them off to do 45 minutes of exercises by themselves.

Many times he witnessed patients having to come to twice as many physical therapy visits than it should have taken to reach their goals. Thomas decided he couldn’t watch patients slow down their recovery time in large physical therapy “factories”. Out of frustration with the way his patients were being treated, he partnered up with Luke Chichetto at Mobility Rx on the premise that the client comes first.
Every day golfers in the greater Tampa Bay area consult with Thomas to rehab following an injury and complete golf performance training to get back on the greens playing and competing with friends.
Thomas graduated with a B.S. in Athletic Training from Barry University, and then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with honors.

Thomas is recognized as a certified golf medical professional through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He is also a certified golf fitness specialist (GFS) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Thomas also has advanced training in joint mobilization, spinal manipulation, myofascial techniques, movement analysis and corrective exercise programming, which is well blended in his unique brand of physical therapy. His goal is to provide the “every day” golfer with the world-class sports medicine experience of PGA tour pros.
