After a few training sessions, I was amazed on how I felt.  I suffered with excruciating, chronic back pain that would come and go for years. It prevented me from playing the sport I love, additionally I had weakness and numbness sometimes on a daily occurrence. I couldn’t perform everyday life functions, such as tying my shoes or sleeping without pain. I tried cold therapy, anti-inflammatory meds and even heavy prescribed meds.I sought the help of two orthopedic doctors, three sports chiropractors, numerous sports massage therapists and several physical therapists. I endured cortisone shots. Surgery was recommended, which I refused. For the first time in a decade, I have hope that my old age won’t include disability my wife Connie and I started working out with Luke in August of 2011. For roughly 18 years prior to working with Luke, I had been experiencing a slowly worsening chronic pain problem brought on by several underlying health issues. In August, I was taking the daily maximum of Tramadol and Metaxalone to see me through the day. It was to the point I was anticipating my doctor changing me to an even stronger pain medication. Over the years, I have consulted with numerous physicians in various specialties, and been through several physical therapy / rehab sessions. Those people gave me a little hope.When I began my evaluation with Luke he wanted to set the bold goal of me eliminating my need for prescription pain relievers. At the very least, he said by working together we would reduce the amount I needed. I tried not to scoff but I was certainly dubious. My 18 years of experience told me otherwise. However, I committed myself to whatever routines he worked out, with certain limitations to reduce my concern of additional injury.My morning routine has been to hobble from the bed to the kitchen for my first round of pain meds, a coffee, and sit while the drugs took effect. By noon, I was always worn out and in need of laying down to rest. Imagine my surprise the day in December when I got up, poured a cup of coffee, let the dogs out and went about my activities until I realized I had “forgotten” to take my first dose. I now sometimes will even forget a dose later in the day. My discomfort levels eventually remind me to take something but the interval between is growing longer.I now find that while some days I do still take the maximum meds there are some days I only take half. I do not wear out as early every day and I have more productive hours some days of the week. I know I still have a lot of work ahead of me, so I will be working with Luke for the foreseeable future; because, for the first time in a decade, I have hope that my old age won’t include disability.

Must say, best money we have spent in a long time. Luke not only brings skill, knowledge and a strong solid background to the sessions, his passion and dedication for a healthy life style through working out is contagious.
